About this programme
What will you learn?
The Leadership Development Programme is designed to address some of the fundamental issues facing current and future leaders through a structured programme of learning. The programme is designed to enhance individual knowledge, skills and understanding that will support the development and application of more effective personal leadership approaches. It will seek to challenge ideas and pre-conceptions about what leadership means both to the individual and to their world of work. Indeed, a better understanding of ourselves, and what is going on around us, are both fundamental qualities of effective leadership and management.
Practical uses
Leadership, and its application to management, are developed through common core modules, with on line and face to face activities used to bring sector specific and real world issues into focus. Participants will work individually and in groups to apply their personal and professional experience to the understanding and practice of a more transformational approach to leadership. Option modules then provide participants with the opportunity to explore the leadership challenge in a particular area, and to undertake a project that will deepen their understanding in an area of personal need and interest.
